I wonder why our journalists cannot write like Amy inspite of being residents of India all their lives. Amy writes so well by emphasizing the contrast that it lends a perspective that hasn’t been stressed before. This level of detail from someone in the non-desi media makes it even more interesting.

Women as objects of conquest, literally!

Get a load of this… Parents of 3 girls aged 17, 19 and 21 find their girls missing one fine day, they are prevented from lodging a police complaint, after much effort, an FIR is lodged naming 3 suspects from the locality on charges of kidnapping. The parents get threats from the people around them to withdraw the names. Weeks later, they get mail suggesting that the girls have changed their religion to Islam. There you go folks, the dhimmi girls are paying for being in Pakistan.

“When Sanno and Champa finally met their daughters, they were shocked to see that they were in burqas that concealed them from head to toe, leaving only their eyes uncovered. The eyes of the youngest girl were bloodshot from weeping. At this supposedly private meeting, a dour woman was present throughout as were a moulvi and a couple of cops. In subdued voices muffled by heavy fabric, the girls said they wanted to stay where they were.”

Irfan Hussain at least had the decency to write about it and let the whole world know unlike this article here which mentions it under the title of another article.
Here is the sad part, Irfan writes as if he is buying the story.

cest la vie…
